Homeless Helpers invites you to join SEQ Motorcycle Riders and hundreds of other riders from South East Queensland, Western & Northern Suburbs to bring some hope and cheer to those, who for assorted reasons, are less fortunate than we are.
The Hog Ride is open to all bikes and riders. Ride route is suitable for learner riders.
When making your choice of donation, please consider the things you use on a day to day basis for your own personal care and protection.
Items such as Back Packs, Towels of all sizes, Shampoo, body wash & soaps, Deodorants, perfume & make up, Ladies sanitary items, Men’s shavers, Lotions, potions & creams (deep heat, savlon, betadine etc) Sleeping bags, blankets & pillows, Small tents & survival blankets are most in need.
Should you find it easier to make a cash donation, this option will be available to you with Homeless Helpers Volunteers at the end of the ride also.
We are currently unaware of homeless children under 10 years old now, though donations of toys & things for teens would also be well received.
Departing from Phil Denman Park, Jamboree Heights, right beside Ashton’s school, winding its way through the quiet and sleepy Sunday suburbs of West Brisbane, the roars and purrs of deep throated motorbikes will bring the curious out to wave at the procession.
We'll all find our way to Goodna’s Evan Marginson Park located on Woogaroo St Goodna, you will be able to drop off your donations directly to Homeless Helpers Volunteers.
At the rides end, the Middle Park Girl Guides will be providing the “gold coin donation sausage sizzle” while you listen to a few speeches and thank you’s
