Young mum shows how to live a healthy lifestyle
MAKING time for exercise is an everyday requirement in this Gladstone mum's life.
Ngaio Miller does weight training five days a week and has a 40-minute walk before breakfast every morning.
The 23-year-old said she exercised more than most because she had been training for a bikini mum and bikini diva competition in Brisbane.
"After I had a child I wanted to train seriously and so I signed up for the gym," Miss Miller said.
She said she and her partner, who does mixed marital arts, had always had a good fitness regime.
"I started doing weight training on February 1," she said.
"I feel proud and confident because I know I am working towards something."
Having a 20-month-old son, the stay-at-home mum ensures she has time for daily exercise.
"I think if you have the time to sit and watch TV for half an hour, you have the time for a walk."
But she said for those who could not find the time, all hope wasn't lost.
"You can always clean up your diet. That alone will make you feel better."
