The X Factor a ratings winner for Seven on 'Super Sunday'

CHANNEL 7 has come back with a force in its ratings race with Channel 9.

The broadcaster, which trailed Nine and Ten's The Bachelor most of last month after the flop of its reality food show Restaurant Revolution, had the top three most watch shows of last night in spring TV's so-called "Super September" Sunday.

The return of The X Factor was the most-watched show of the night, attracting 1.506 million viewers across the five metro cities.

Seven News was the second most-watched show of the night, followed by the first half of Seven's Peter Allen mini-series Not The Boy Next Door, which drew in 1.333 million metro viewers.

The Block's first room reveals of the Blocktagon season were the fifth most-watched show, while Channel 10's The Biggest Loser Families missed out on a Top 10 debut, coming in at No 11 with just 646,000 metro viewers.

The ratings war will continue tonight as three reality shows - The Biggest Loser Families, The Block and The X Factor - go head-to-head at 7.30pm.
