Women laugh to celebrate the change

ONLY single tickets remain for the return season of Jeanie Linders' hilarious Menopause the Musical.

Brought to Ipswich Civic Hall as part of the 2009 Festival of Theatre, three performances of the popular musical comedy are almost sold out.

People wanting to catch the nationally famous show on July 24 and 25 are urged to be quick to secure the final few seats.

Inspired by “a hot flush and a bottle of wine”, Menopause the Musical is a celebration of a certain life passage that launches women into an exciting new phase of their lives.

More than half a million women across Australia have seen the show - and loved it. So much so, many have come back time and time again to join with their sisters in this 90-minute laugh-a-thon.

Maybe the attraction is the songs that everyone grew up with - The Great Pretender, Only You, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Stand By Your Man, I Will Survive and 20 more - all sung with gusto and all with their “new” lyrics.

Tickets are available through the Civic Hall, call 3810 6100 for details.
