Woman dies while leaving shopping centre car park

A WOMAN has died trying to leave the car park at Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast. 

A Police spokesman said about 2pm this afternoon the woman was driving out of the shopper's car parking area when she is thought to have lost control of her vehicle and collided with the bollard holding up the boom-gate. 

It is believed the woman suffered head injuries during the crash and she was declared dead shortly after the crash happened about 2pm. 

Police believe the woman is in her 50s or 60s - although an exact age is yet to confirmed as next of kin have not yet been notified.
