Woman dead, three injured in Lockyer Valley crash

BREAKING: A woman has died and three others injured in a horrific two-vehicle crash west of Ipswich this afternoon.

Initial information suggests two vehicles collided on Old Laidley Forest Hill Rd at Forest Hill about 12.15pm today.

Police report one vehicle had been headed east along the road when it collided with another vehicle that was travelling in the opposite direction.

A female passenger of the car, a woman in her 40s, died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to Ipswich Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver and three passengers from the west-bound vehicle were all airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
