Woman claims hit and run after highway crash

A WOMAN claims she was the victim of a hit and run incident with a truck on the Warrego Hwy this morning.

The 31-year-old had to be taken to hospital with minor injuries after her Mazda was side-swiped by a truck at Haigslea, about 7am.

The impact caused the small sedan to lose control and crash.

Police say the car was rendered undriveable.

The truck continued on after the accident, with police believing the driver may not have been aware that he'd hit another vehicle.
