WEATHER: Don't expect today's rain to last

THIS morning's rain is set to continue into the afternoon, but the Bureau of Meteorology expects the weather to clear by tomorrow. 

While the Bureau had given Gympie an 80% chance of rain falling today, most of the region had already seen rainfall overnight and this morning.

Gympie has seen 12mm, Pomona 14mm, Black Mountain 17mm, Cooran 15mm, Cedar Pocket Dam 8mm, Goomboorian 9mm, Imbil 12mm, Tewantin 3mm.

Borumba Dam has recorded 12mm of rain. 

The chance of rain tomorrow will drop to 5% for Gympie, with sunny weather continuing until Sunday, when partial cloud cover should set back in. 

Those clear skies will see minimum temperatures drop to between six and eight degrees from Wednesday to Saturday, while maximum temperatures will stay between 19 and 22 degrees for the rest of the week.
