Wallabies spot out of reach with Beale suspended yet again

KURTLEY Beale's hopes of playing for the Wallabies against the British and Irish Lions are now virtually non-existent after he was yesterday suspended by the Melbourne Rebels for the second time in seven weeks.

Beale, 24, has been stood down from Melbourne's Super Rugby clash against the Blues in Auckland tomorrow for breaches of agreed behavioural protocols.

He scored a try against the Chief on his return to the paddock last week after serving a six-week suspension for punching teammates Cooper Vuna and Gareth Delve in Durban in March.

Rebels officials stressed Beale had not misbehaved in any way, but he nonetheless had broken the conditions imposed on him.
