Two Sunshine Coast cops in court on misconduct charges

TWO Sunshine Coast police officers will face a Brisbane court in April on misconduct charges.

Detective Senior Constable Naomi Shearer, 48, and Senior Constable Rohan Peter Evans, 41, were not required to enter a plea during a short mention of their matter in the Brisbane Arrest Court this morning.

The officers are charged with misconduct in public office and have both been stood down from their official duties with Queensland Police Service.

The charges arise from a Crime and Corruption Commission investigation.

They must attend Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 23. - NewsRegional
