Two in hospital after Coast apartment fire

MULTIPLE emergency services crews responded to an apartment block fire overnight in Queen St, Caloundra.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said crews attended after an alarm was activated at about 1.46am.

The spokeswoman said there were three persons transported from the incident.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said multiple patients were treated by ambulance officers on scene.

They said all three patients transported were suffering from repository issues with two remaining in hospital.

Police and a fire investigator are currently in attendance at the residence.

Initial reports do not indicate any suspicious activity but the cause of the blaze is not yet known.
