Titans move on from Daly Cherry-Evans with signing spree

THE Gold Coast Titans continue to put the disappointment of missing out on Manly representative halfback Daly Cherry-Evans behind them, with the signing of two more promising youngsters.

After securing rising star James Roberts on a two-year-deal, the Titans have signed 22-year-old Newcaste Knights hooker Chad Redman, and PNG international Nene Macdonald (pictured) from the Roosters.

Redman, who scored a try in his NRL debut earlier this year, is a former Australian Schoolboys representative, while Macdonald has played 11 games for the Roosters.

The 21-year-old was born in Port Moresby, but grew up in Cairns and attended Kirwan High in Townsville.

"I'm excited to get this opportunity. I think the Titans is a club that is improving with some young players on the rise," Macdonald said.
