ALICIA Taylor looks like she stepped out of a 1950s magazine.

The inked beauty who, by day, works in a real estate agency, has been named Miss Illustrated Pinup Australia 2013.

The Mooloolaba woman goes by the pin-up alter ego Scarlet Tinkabelle - who is the combination of an old nickname for being both short and a dancer and her love of the name Scarlet.

She has been involved in the Australian pinup scene for almost five years and hopes to continue being involved for years to come.

"I just love being a part of it," Alicia said.

"There are always friendly faces, new people to meet; not to mention there is always a festival or a car meet happening somewhere.

"What more could any gal want than some gorgeous rockabilly/pin-up clothing and some beautiful rods."

Miss Pinup Australia is a worldwide platform for the everyday women of all shapes, sizes and ages to join together in a celebration of vintage glamour.

It is dedicated to finding beauty, based not on how much skin is showing, but on how a woman presents herself.

When Alicia is not using her unique looks to fundraise for charity, participating in competitions or working her day job, she is focused on her clothing and hair accessories business, Tinkabelle Town.
