IT IS well overdue for us to move on with the rest of the world.

We have Turnbull wanting to lower the energy target so he could build more coal-powered stations.

We know coal-fired power stations positively ooze pollution.

We also know renewables are unable to cope with the power demand and SA proved that.

If we are serious about lowering CO2 emissions we must look beyond conventional methods and that leaves nuclear power stations, which are pollution free and less expensive to operate.

Many European countries use nuclear power, countries like France, Germany, Belgium. Sweden and even India has nuclear plants.

We have all the uranium in the ground that we need and can even export it.

Nuclear plant disasters are few and with all the present day knowledge comparatively safe.

So let's bite the bullet and install nuclear power plants and reduce our emissions once and for all.
