Terrifying carjacking ordeal for Nambour Hospital employee

A NAMBOUR Hospital employee allegedly had her car stolen at knifepoint in the Nambour General Hospital car park last night.

A QPS spokesman said the 32-year-old woman, believed to be a hospital admin officer, was walking to her car at 9pm last night, when an 18-year-old Buderim man threatened her with a knife and stole her four wheel drive.

The woman did not receive any physical injuries.

The stolen vehicle then collided with another vehicle at the Maroochydore roundabout at 9.20pm, where the man fled the scene.

Police found him soon after walking along the Sunshine Motorway, and transported him to Nambour General Hospital.

It is believed the man is still in hospital.

He is yet to be charged.
