The teenager was charged with attempted theft and public nuisance after an alleged three attempts to steal a bottle of Cointreau, all of which failed at the Carriers Arms Hotel in Maryborough on Wednesday.

Police allege the 18-year-old first tried to put the alcohol down his pants but it fell through and hit the floor.

He then allegedly picked it up and dropped it again before making a third attempt and failing.
