Young woman sustains head injuries in crash on wet roads

A YOUNG woman is being treated for serious head injuries following a crash west of Ipswich this morning.

Police say the 19-year-old woman's vehicle flipped after crashing off Grandchester-Mt Mort Rd at Grandchester about 10.50am.

There was a fuel leak on the road which also caused a hazard.

Paramedics took the woman to Laidley Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening head injuries.

The car has been towed from the scene.
