Teen charged with possessing child exploitation material

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with one count of possessing child exploitation material after a search was conducted at a Mackay residence.

Detectives from the Mackay Child Protection and Investigation Unit allegedly located the child exploitation material on a computer during a search last night.

The man is due to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on August 31.
