Teacher charged with child porn possession

A ROCKHAMPTON primary school teacher, 53, has been stood down after being charged with possession of child exploitation material.

Police this morning said the male teacher had been charged with three offences, including the possession and transmission of child exploitation material and stealing.

The man was charged late last week.

The charges followed an investigation by the State Crime Operations Command’s Taskforce Argus operation

Police did not name the school where the teacher worked.

Education Queensland are expected to comment later this afternoon.
