'Out of our control': Strawberry farm will close

BALLANTYNE'S Strawberry Farm announced via social media this will be their final year of operation at their Calen farm.

They also said in August last year that they would close.

Alan and Margaret Ballantyne posted this message on Facebook this morning:

"With heavy hearts we want to announce that this year will be our very final year," they said.

"This year was purely opened due to all your beautiful support and the want to see us succeed. Due to reasons out of our control and a very heavy decision we have made the choice to close the gates at the end of September 2016.
