Star pair to return for Sharks' elimination final

CRONULLA'S premiership defence has been boosted by the return of star duo Wade Graham and Jack Bird from injury.

Graham returns from a week off with a corked calf to face North Queensland on Sunday.

"He could've played (against the Knights) at a pinch. He'll be fine,” Flanagan said of the backrower.

"Wade and Jack Bird will be available (this) week.”

Bird hasn't played for a month after injuring his shoulder in the round 22 clash with the Canberra Raiders.

Jayson Bukuya and Luke Lewis failed to finish Sunday's win over the Knights due to an ankle and shoulder injury respectively.

"Jayson, it might be a slight ankle strain, it's not too bad,” he said.

"He was walking around ok and Lewy's got an arthritic shoulder that plays up every now and again. He'll get it treated and be fine.”

The Sharks' only concern comes in the shape of forward Sam Tagataese.

The premiership winner remains in doubt for the final.

He suffered a calf injury in round 25, revealing he suffered a tear which requires him to pass a fitness test on Wednesday in order to be a chance for selection.

"Mine is a strain with a tiny tear,” Tagataese told foxsports.com.au.

"I start running on Wednesday. I'll work out where I'm at from there after the fitness test.”
