SHOP local, support Ipswich businesses and get a chance to win your share of $11,000 in prizes in the annual Queensland Times City Pride campaign.

The month-long campaign is on again this August and the QT is calling on businesses and shoppers to show their pride in Ipswich.

QT general manager Mike Dorey thanked 2015 foundation sponsors Ipswich City Council, University of Southern Queensland, St Andrews Ipswich Private Hospital and New Hope Group.

This year's campaign has also been backed by major sponsors Ipswich Riverlink Shopping Centre and Events Corporation as well as sponsors Heritage Bank, Brassall Shopping Centre, St Ives Shopping Centre and Booval Shopping Centre.

Mr Dorey said last year's campaign attracted 360 participating businesses.

"This year we are trying to top that," he said.

"We are out there in the market looking for businesses to participate."

All participating businesses will be dressed up with City Pride balloons, bunting and posters for the duration of August.

Mr Dorey encouraged shoppers to support those who display the black and white City Pride logo during the campaign to get a chance to win one of three prizes to be won throughout the month.

Two gift wallets worth $2750 and a gift wallet worth $5500 will be given out to lucky entrants.

To be eligible, all shoppers have to do is buy an item at a City Pride participating business from August 1-31, pick up a City Pride entry form at the checkout and send the completed form back to the QT.

Participating businesses also stand to win, with an advertising package worth $5000 up for grabs for one lucky participating business that buys additional advertising during August.

In addition to sponsors supporters of the 2015 campaign also include Ipswich Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Redbank Plains Shopping Centre, Springfield Fair Shopping Centre, Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce and CCIQ Bremer.
