Firefighters stop shed blaze from spreading to house


FIREFIGHTERS have managed to stop a shed blaze from spreading to surrounding homes in Point Vernon.

Two fire trucks attended the scene along with an ambulance cruiser while police have cordoned off the Point Vernon street.

Neighbors have told the Chronicle they were first alerted to the fire when they saw a lot of smoke.


EARLIER: A HOME is at risk as firefighters work to extinguish a shed fire in Point Vernon.

Fire crews were called to the scene just before 345pm. 

It's understood one home on Galatea St is at risk in close proximity to the shed.
