FACT: People who use emojis have a better sex and love life

THE more emojis you use, the more sex you have!

That's according to a survey conducted by match.com which found that emojis are the newest and sexiest aphrodisiac.

Apparently 54% of single emoji users had more sex when they used emojis in text messages compared to 31% of the single ladies and lads who are sworn off the cartoon-like smiles and kisses.

The responses, given by 49% of males and 53% of females in the survey, show that singles love using emojis because they show personality in their text messages.

And while people of all ages and social backgrounds use emojis, the three most used are the wink at 53%, the smiley at 38% and the kiss at 27%.

However, the emojis prowling singles would never use are the female, the lips and the monkey.

Dr Helen Fisher, who led the study, said emojis could also lead a few singles down the aisle.

"Emoji users don't just have more sex, they go on more dates and they are two times more likely to want to get married," Dr Fisher said.

"Sixty-two per cent of emoji users want to get married compared to 30% of people who never used an emoji."

There are even appropriate emojis for when you get engaged, married, buy a dog or cat and have children.

And if there aren't enough emojis to express how you feel, Apple will be releasing a new range in the next update.

Some of the new emojis branch wider than people who represent The Simpsons and a smiling turd and include a palette of people and a same-sex family.

But there aren't any red-heads, women with beards or people with afros.

One day everyone will be included.

But, at the end of the day, if you aren't using emojis and you haven't gotten lucky it might be time to start using a smiley and a wink or two.
