Santa to make an early appearance in Harrisville

THE jolly fat man in the red suit will be making a special visit to the Scenic Rim, but not on his traditional mode of transport.

While Rudolph and his other reindeer friends continue to prepare for their upcoming journey on Christmas Eve, Santa will be visiting Summer Land Camel farm on Saturday, November 3 on, you guessed it, a camel.

He will be making an appearance to talk to all the good boys and girls for the Christmas Markets.

There will be a wide array of market stalls selling local produce, gifts and more. Guests will need to bring cash as not all stall holders have eftpos.

A farm tour will be held at 11am, and kids can also enjoy a camel ride (bookings must be made through the Summer Land Camel website).

Parents can also bring a wrapped present with their kids name on it for Santa to deliver at 3.30pm.

The Christmas Markets will be held from 11.30am-5pm at Summer Land Camels, 8 Charles Chauvel Dr, Harrisville.
