TOOWOOMBA man Bob Emerton loves his EK Holden station wagon.
He's owned the car since the 1970s when he bought it from his next-door neighbour for $1200.
His son used it to drive to university, but for the past few years it has been sitting in his driveway.
"About six months ago I decided I should get it going on the road again," Mr Emerton said.
He showed off his pride and joy at yesterday's All Holden Day held by the Toowoomba FX-FJ Holdens Inc.
Organising committee member Jim Dwan said the 30th event was the biggest one yet, with a record 242 entries.
Mr Dwan estimated about 2000 people came through the gates to see cars ranging from the 1940s to now.
