Rabbitohs lose try-scoring machine for remainder of season

SOUTH Sydney will need to find a new No.1 for the remaining two weeks of the season with a hamstring injury ending Alex Johnston's campaign.

Johnston came from the field late in the game after he scored a hat-trick against the Warriors on Friday night.

He sits on a competition-high 22 tries and will be hoping Melbourne's Suliasi Vunivalu (19 tries) falls short, especially against Souths on Saturday.

Coach Michael Maguire will make a call later on Tuesday, but Cody Walker is one player not expected to shift again from the halves.

England-bound Bryson Goodwin could even pop up at the back for his final two games at the club.

Souths are chasing their fourth straight win and will push the minor premiers all the way this weekend.
