POLICE and forensic scenes of crime officers are searching for clues at a Parkhurst caravan park after a breakthrough in the missing persons case of Robert Martinez and Chantal Barnett.

This morning CIB acting-boss Detective Sergeant Nick Williams says police executed the search warrant last night and are expected to be at the scene today and tomorrow.

Although he couldn't go into too much detail, Det Sgt Williams says a Rockhampton Magistrate issued the warrant yesterday after information from the public.

Martinez, 26, and Barnett, 27, have been missing since early March.

Rockhampton police's last breakthrough in the case was about a month ago when police found Martinez's wallet at Gavial Creek.

If you have any information that could help police contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
