Police drug raids hit house near primary school

POLICE were at the scene of a house near Taabinga State School this morning as part of a drug search warrant.

Three Brisbane drug detection dogs were in town as part of the search and the individuals involved were detained at the house.

Kingaroy Police OIC senior sergeant Duane Frank said the search was part of an ongoing campaign against drug offenders in the community.

"It is an issue within our community and a priority for local police," Snr Sgt Frank said.

"Obviously we do have drug crime and drug related incidents here and they are at low levels in comparison to other areas, but it's still a priority.

"We'll continue to execute search warrants and we actively encourage the community to contact crime stoppers if they have any information."

There are no charges related to the search at this stage.
