Police prepare to search remote cane fields for missing man

POLICE are searching through remote cane fields in the Pioneer Valley - about one hour west of Mackay - at Owens Creek, as they look for Dennis Raymond Thompson. 

The 66 year-old was last seen at his home on Owens Creek Loop Rd about 8am this morning but has not made contact with family since. 



He was last seen wearing flannelette pyjamas with blue pants and a dark blue stripe and dark brown top with yellow and red stripe.

Police also believe he may be travelling in a red 1992 Nissan Patrol. 


Concerns are held for the man's safety as he suffers from a medical condition.
