Police hunt suspect who may be armed

POLICE are calling for public assistance to find Sunshine Coast man Brandon Grant who they believe stole a vehicle, fled from police and may be in possession of a firearm. 

According to police, a vehicle was stolen from an address on Pelican Street address in Pelican Beach last night, and investigations led police to an address on Poinciana Avenue in Mooloolaba.

On arrival, the vehicle was recovered and a woman was taken into custody but a man fled from police.

Police believe Brandon Grant, 23, may be in possession of a firearm, and are urging anyone who may have seen him to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately and NOT approach him.

Investigations are continuing.
