Paramedics work to save driver after morning truck crash

A truck carrying a load of sugar cane has rolled over blocking a lane of traffic in Woongoolba, on the northern fringe of the Gold Coast.  

Paramedics are working to stabilise the driver who was injured in the crash on Stapylton Jacobs Well Road at about 6am.  

Authorities will then prioritise clearing the carnage caused when the truck rolled.

It is unclear whether any other vehicles were involved in the collision.
