Palmer's party members make election promises

THERE are just two members of Clive Palmer's United Australia Party sitting in Queensland Parliament, but they are already making election promises.

The UAP is the state division of the Palmer United Party.

Former LNP backbencher and ex-police officer Carl Judge told Parliament the party would reinstate any police officers dismissed by the Queensland Government.

Another former LNP member, Dr Alex Douglas, holds the other UAP seat.

"Policing in Queensland should be a career, not a hired service," he said

."Police officers are not security guards."

Any schools, hospitals, ports and power stations sold by the government in its plan to improve its financial position would also be resumed.

Mr Judge said all LNP members were welcome to join him and Dr Douglas in the UAP or face a loss come the next election.
