THERE is growing concern for a man who vanished on the Darling Downs and hasn't been seen for more than a month.
The last confirmed sighting of Jamie Hardgraves, 43, was at Thiedke Rd at Beaudesert on Tuesday May 17.
He was also reportedly seen on the evening of May 17 at a service station at Springwood.
The only trace police have found was when they located his damaged car on Stanthorpe-Texas Rd early on May 18, about 16 kilometres east of Texas.
Inside was Mr Hardgraves' wallet and mobile phone. But he was gone.
Volunteers have scoured the bush land in the area but have not been able to find him.
It was thought at the time he may have crashed and wandered away.
Police had believed Mr Hardgraves may have made his way to the Stanthorpe area however he has not been located.
News Corp reports a group of young men who were drinking in the Gunalda pub reported they saw him in the pub on Friday.
That was three days after the Beaudesert sighting.
But police later said family and friends advised police as a part of their investigation that they didn't believe that he would be in the Gunalda area.
His family took to social media to play down speculation Mr Hardgraves was involved in any untoward activity or had met with foul play.
A spokesman said police held concerns for his welfare as his behaviour was out of character.
Mr Hardgraves is described as Caucasian, about 175cm tall, proportionate build, short straight sandy hair with blue eyes.
Anyone has any information that could help find Mr Hardgraves is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
