OPINION: Go for it Jo

THERE have been times when this newspaper has been at loggerheads with Bundamba MP Jo-Ann Miller.

It came to a head when Miller, then as the Police Minister, refused to back the retention of the Ipswich Police Communications Centre.

She claimed, and still does, that it was a police operational matter and as such she couldn't interfere.

That was debunked when the premier came to town and stopped the closure in its tracks - albeit while further investigations were carried out.

Now after a summer hibernation, Ms Miller has emerged from her office swinging punches in state parliament, but this time instead of the LNP being the targets it has been her own party.

Her questions to her own government are embarrassing for the ALP. While they will be livid at her attacks we should be applauding her.

We need to hold the Palaszczuk Government accountable and few know more about the behind the scenes manoeuvres of this government than the former minister.

Go for it Jo is what I say.
