MP wants Clive Palmer 'detached' from the Sunshine Coast

INCOMING Fairfax MP Ted O'Brien wants Clive Palmer "detached" from the Sunshine Coast so the region can have a new "brand".

"We need to adjust our profile, change our branding," the Liberal MP told a media outlet.

"Because unfortunately our branding has been so tied up with Clive Palmer.

"The time that I spent outside the Sunshine Coast, that I have spent interstate - you say 'the coast' and they say ... 'Oh, Clive Palmer'.
