Crashes leave one man dead and another hospitalised

POLICE have been called to two traffic crashes, one at Forest Glen where a man has been hospitalised and a fatality on the D'Aguilar Highway near Nanango.

The fatal traffic crash on the D'Aguilar Highway happened at the intersection of Hodgeleigh Road, near Nanango.

Initial information suggests that a motorbike and a car collided at around 1.30pm.

The male motorbike rider died at the scene.

The male driver of the car was treated at the scene and a female passenger was taken to the KingaroyBaseHospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is currently investigating.

Police have released that the Forest Glen crash happened about 11.10pm with a vehicle travelling south on the Bruce Highway.

A man, the driver and believed to be the sole occupant, has been transported to Nambour Hospital in a serious condition.

Only one lane of the Bruce Highway southbound is currently open.
