Police say the man was fishing near the Creb Track yesterday afternoon, and they were contacted when his belongings were found at the river’s edge.

A land search started late yesterday with a helicopter and several boats also assisting, however the man has still not been located.

The search was scaled back overnight and water police remain on the scene.
