Members of Melbourne gang may be behind two recent crimes

MEMBERS of notorious Melbourne street gang Apex may be behind two terrifying home invasions on Tuesday night in the city's north-west.

The brazen thieves made no effort to hide their entry, breaking glass at one property and yelling at the occupants, and smashing through the front door at the other.

The main targets appeared to the homeowners' luxury cars.

The family at one of the houses was confronted by three males of African appearance who demanded the keys to their car - a limited edition 2015 Holden Club Sport. Luxury carjackings are on the rise in Melbourne.
