FORMER Proserpine player Tyson Martin has been included on a six-man interchange bench for the North Queensland Cowboys' round-three clash with Parramatta.

A back-rower or centre, Martin, who has yet to make his NRL debut, starred for the Mackay Cutters in the opening round of the Intrust Super Cup at Redcliffe on Sunday and he also impressed the coaching staff during the pre-season.

Cowboys coach Neil Henry will cut the bench to four following the team's final training on Friday, ahead of Saturday night's game at Dairy Farmers Stadium.

Martin has also been named for the Cutters this weekend.

The return of back-rower Glenn Hall after a one-week absence is the only change to the Cowboys' starting line-up for the game.

A leg infection put Hall in hospital last week and forced him to miss the thrilling two-point victory against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium but he has been declared fit to play as the Cowboys chase their first win at home this season.

"I'm fighting fit and had a run yesterday - all good," Hall said.

"The boys played awesome without me and I thought I'd be lucky to get back in the team, but thankfully I am.

"I'll be trying my best to prove that I'm worthy of being in there."
