Fire crews called to two blazes across Rockhampton

2PM: QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Services were called to an industrial fridge fire at a Koongal business this afternoon while three other units battled a vegetation fire at Mt Larcom.

Initial reports suggest the Koongal blaze broke out on the corner of Dempsey St and Wiltshire St shortly after 12.30pm.

It is believed the blaze was extinguished before emergency services arrived.

Meanwhile three crews have contained a vegetation fire in a paddock on Narrows Rd, Mt Larcom.

A QFES spokesperson said the fire was burning towards a creek, which would act as a fire break, and crews were monitoring the edges of the fire.
