Caravan gas drama: Man faces attempted murder charge

BREAKING: A man will this morning face court over the attempted murder of a woman on the Sunshine Coast. 

A 62-year-old Dalrymple Heights man will appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court today charged with attempted murder. 

Police say a 48-year-old woman was asleep in a caravan in Marnie Cres, Doonan about 2am on July 5 and when she was woken by a strange sound, and found gas filling the van. 

Police examined the scene and investigated the incident, and later changed the Dalrymple Heights man.
