Man drowns in Mary River at Beaver Rock

A MAN has drowned in the Mary River near Brother's Island in Beaver Rock, near Maryborough.

Emergency crews were called to the area about 4.55pm on Monday.

Maryborough police are unable to confirm the age of the man at this time.

Paramedics are currently treating a 90-year-old man who is believed to be in shock.

Police and paramedics are still at the scene.
