Man charged with horrific murder of his brother

A MAN cleared over one of the Gold Coast's most notorious killings has been charged with murdering his own brother after allegedly setting him on fire.

Ethan Clarke, 22, will face Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with the horrific murder of his older brother Reece, 26, at their Nerang home in the early hours of yesterday morning, the Courier Mail reports.

Reece, a talented rugby league player for the Runaway Bay Seagulls, was initially rushed to hospital in a critical condition, but died hours later.

Ethan was arrested in Brisbane about 5.30am yesterday and charged with murder.
