Man charged with attempted murder after Waterford incident

DETECTIVES have charged a man with attempted murder following their investigations into an unlawful wounding at Waterford West yesterday evening.

Around 6.45pm police were called to a residence on Mark Lane following reports that a woman had been stabbed.

Upon arrival police located a 30-year-old woman inside the residence with a wound to her abdomen. She was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

A 29-year-old Waterford West man has been charge with one count of attempted murder and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court this morning.
