Man charged after armed robbery at chemist
POLICE have charged a man following an alleged armed robbery of a chemist at Clifton Beach this morning.
About 9am a man entered the Captain Cook Highway premises where it will be alleged that after being served, he presented a knife and demanded prescription drugs.
Staff co-operated and upon being provided the drugs the man left the store.
No one was physical injured during the robbery.
The man is due to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on June 9 charged with one count of armed robbery.
