A 30-YEAR-OLD man accused of stalking a woman in Brisbane, hiring a private investigator and changing her personal details on official records will face court today.

Police say they have charged a  New South Wales man following an investigation into alleged stalking and fraudulent activity in Brisbane earlier this year.

It will be alleged a man stalked a 33-year-old woman between July 31 and August 19 this year, including harassing her through telephone calls, text messages and emails.

Police will be further alleged the man changed her personal details and information through official records and engaged the services of private investigators.

It will also be alleged between May 28 and August 14, a man attended a Kallangur address and provided a quote for fence work after the resident responded to an advertisement.

The victim provided a deposit, however it will be alleged the man failed to return to carry out the work.

A 30-year-old New South Wales man has been charged with one count of unlawful stalking, and three counts of fraud.

He is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
