Man accused of murdering neighbour faces court

A 60-YEAR-OLD man accused of murdering his elderly neighbour has had his charges mentioned before Hervey Bay Magistrates Court.

During the court appearance Frederick Ronald Sinfield's charges were adjourned until October 27.

He will remain in custody ahead of his next appearance.

Norma Ludlam, 75, was found with severe head injuries in her Eli Waters home on July 4 last year.

She died of her injuries in Hervey Bay Hospital a few days later.

On July 29 last year Sinfield was charged with her murder and two assault charges.
