UPDATE: A 66-year-old man missing from Owens Creek in the Pioneer Valley has been located safe and well.

Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.


YESTERDAY: Police are searching canefields for a 66-year-old man with a medical condition reported missing from Owens Creek in the Pioneer Valley today.

Dennis Raymond Thompson was last seen at his residence on Owens Creek Loop Road around 8am this morning but has not returned home and has not made contact with family since.

Police hold concerns for his wellbeing as he suffers from a medical condition.

He was last seen wearing flannelette pyjamas with blue pants and a dark blue stripe and dark brown top with yellow and red stripe.

Police also believe he may be travelling in a red 1992 Nissan Patrol.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 24hrs a day.
