JESSICA Simpson is building a studio in her home.

The 35-year-old beauty is making a highly-anticipated return to music, "one of [her] biggest passions in the world", and is celebrating with the new instalment in her basement.

She said: "That's how I started; that's always [been] one of my biggest passions in the world. I love to use my voice.

"[Once it's completed, I'll] be down in the basement recording. I'm sure my kids will completely take over."

And the 'Blonde Ambition' actress - who has daughter Maxwell, three, and son Ace, two - has assured she has no plans to return to reality television, after starring in 'Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica' with her ex-husband Nick Lachey for two years.

She shared: "That's very rear view [mirror]. Having a camera on me at all times, I mean we all know I stick my foot in my mouth a little bit too much."

Meanwhile, Jessica also opened up about the success of her lifestyle brand, which is celebrating its ten year anniversary.

Speaking on the TODAY show, she said: "It's truly a blessing. Right now I have Times Square billboards, we're just in a very amazing moment.

"I had no idea [it would be this successful]. We really just started out with shoes and accessories and now we're going into activewear, maternity wear and home."
